
Drew Holbrook
Andrew (“Drew”) Holbrook began flying in 1991 while completing his degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Carolina. Not long after earning his PPL, he bought a 1954 Piper Tri-Pacer that he flew for 17 years.
Drew, and his wife, Flo, have made their home at Stag Air Park for the past 30 years, where he is a member of EAA Chapter 297 and tailwheel instructor in the club Cub affectionately known as ‘Grandma’.
Drew’s hobbies include building hardwood furniture, boating, and aircraft construction. His two builds include a Zenith CH-750, and the RV-8 he currently flies. He holds Builder/Repairman Certificates for both. He is currently working on a third airplane kit- A Rans S-21 Outbound.
Drew maintains proficiency through frequent flights in his RV-8, and through the flight training he provides. He has logged 4600 hours and has given 2600 hours of instruction.
