
Michael Pirozzolo

Michael Pirozzolo, or Zolo for short, was born in the Finger Lakes area of New York. He attended Mansfield University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with degrees in math and applied physics.
In 2014, he moved to Wilmington, initially working in the hospitality and events industry before pursuing a career in aviation in 2020. He completed his PPL at Cape Fear Jetport at Brunswick Air. Following the closure of Brunswick Air in 2022, he transitioned to the Cape Fear Flying Club to complete his IR/Comm/CFI and CFII in the one and only 712TT.
Since then, Zolo has been working full-time at Cape Fear Coastal Aviation, teaching in both Cessna and Cirrus aircraft. He recently completed his commercial multi-engine rating and is working toward his MEI. When Zolo isn't at the airport, you can find him outdoors with his family or traveling!
